NARRATIVE:  Perfect walking weather, although by 10:00 it was getting pretty warm. It seemed longer than I remember getting to St Jean. We missed an arrow, but were able to get back on track after verifying with passersby. Had to wait until 2:00 when then albergue opened, so we had plenty of time to go to Carrefour for some shopping. Once we got our beds, we showered and went out to explore the citadelle. Such a beautiful city. Went out for a pizza dinner, then back to the albergue to relax. Although my back is feeling better, we've decided to send one pack stuffed with everything ahead to Roncesvalles. Tere is struggling with a blister that just keeps filling up. Hopefully tomorrow we can get this resolved. Feeling pretty anxious about the climb...
